What is the Graduate Student Senate (GSS)?
The
GSS is a division of the UOSA student government, which is comprised of
the executive, legislative, and judical branches. The Campus Activities
Council, which is not a specific branch of the student government, is
the programming branch of the University of Oklahoma Student
Association (UOSA). The GSS, along with the Undergraduate Student
Congress (USC), comprises the legislative branch of the UOSA student
government.
Who does the Graduate Student Senate Represent?
The
GSS is the official voice of the graduate student body at the
University of Oklahoma. Together with the USC, the GSS helps allocate
student fees to all student organizations. Further, the GSS allocates
and awards Research and Conference grants to graduate students.
How can I get involved?
The
selection of graduate student senators is left to the various
departments that comprise the Graduate College and the College of Law.
