What is the Graduate Student Senate (GSS)?

The GSS is a division of the UOSA student government, which is comprised of the executive, legislative, and judical branches. The Campus Activities Council, which is not a specific branch of the student government, is the programming branch of the University of Oklahoma Student Association (UOSA). The GSS, along with the Undergraduate Student Congress (USC), comprises the legislative branch of the UOSA student government.

Who does the Graduate Student Senate Represent?

The GSS is the official voice of the graduate student body at the University of Oklahoma. Together with the USC, the GSS helps allocate student fees to all student organizations. Further, the GSS allocates and awards Research and Conference grants to graduate students.
How can I get involved?

The selection of graduate student senators is left to the various departments that comprise the Graduate College and the College of Law. To learn more, contact a GSS Officer, talk to a student leader in your department, or talk to your graduate liason.
