ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

Academic Affairs works on issues that affect the University and Graduate Students in terms of their academic missions and goals, such as exam preparation week, the language test for international graduate assistants, etc. The committee also selects the Outstanding Graduate Assistants for the academic year.

2008 OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT AWARDS

Please nominate the Outstanding Graduate Student in your life!

The University of Oklahoma Graduate Student Senate is currently seeking nominations for the 2008 Outstanding Graduate Student Awards. Nominations may be made in the following categories:

  • Overall Outstanding Graduate Student
  • Outstanding Teaching Assistant
  • Outstanding Research Assistant

The most outstanding grad in each category will receive a $300 cash award and special recognition during this spring’s Graduate Student Appreciation Week

Who can make a nomination?

  • Virtually anyone! Nominations may be made by a supervising professor, staff member, or fellow student at the University of Oklahoma.

Who can be nominated?

  • Any currently enrolled graduate student

How can you nominate your OUTSTANDING grad student?

  • To nominate an outstanding student, just fill out the nomination form. Return the form with supporting letter(s) to the Graduate Student Senate Office, located in the OMU Conoco Student Leadership Wing

How are winners selected?

  • All nominations are judged by the Academic Affairs Committee of the Graduate Student Senate. The committee’s selection of winners is then put forth and affirmed in a resolution by the Graduate Senate body.

The deadline for nominations is 5 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
